This beautiful Sheltie is Catie. She began going on visits with Paws2Care with her handler Eric Hayler in May of 2006. Eric discovered our group during the health fair event at BMW, where he works.
Eric knew for a
long time Catie would make a wonderful therapy dog because she is
so sweet and gentle, and her love for kids can not be matched. It
took Eric a year to pick up the phone after meeting our group and
he is very happy he did. He enjoys taking Catie to the
On Catie’s first visit To the School for the Deaf and Blind she walked up to a young blind boy who was sitting on the floor. She curled up in his lap and cuddled with him for a long time. Eric said "Catie loves to get up in bed with someone who is not feeling well and snuggle, especially with the kids."
