Bark In The Park
Well, it is almost that time of year again. Bark in the Park will be held Saturday, October 25th, 9:00 am -3:00 pm, at the Greenville Technical College Campus. We will have our booth set up and would love it if you can come out (of course with your furry friend) and join us for the day even if it is for just a short period of time. I need some help at the booth throughout the day just talking to people about our group and what we do. I am not going to ask for any specific times for people to work the booth but I definitely need help setting up the booth Saturday morning and help taking it down that afternoon.
Please come out and join the fun. There is a dog/people costume contest, biggest/smallest dog contest, waggiest tale contest, best trick(s) contest, raffles, exhibitions, and lots of different vendors selling items such as leashes, jewelry, cupcakes (yes, Tater loved the cupcake booth) and all other types of vendors.
Please come out and bring a chair and join us to help support the Concerned Citizens for Animals.
Possibile New Visit
Paws 2 Care has been asked to do a visit to a facility in Marietta/Travelers Rest area on a Sunday at 2:00pm twice a month. There are 4 females and 4 males ranging in ages 20 to 35. Before I get more information on this visit I wanted to know if anyone is interested in doing this. So many of you have asked about doing visits on the weekend that I thought this would be a good opportunity to do that.
Please let Barbara Tanner know if this is something you would like to do.
Ibuprofen or Tylenol
Toxic to Dogs
I share this because it can happen SO quickly! Mataya is here today because I acted quickly when she accidently got hold of a bottle. We see dogs all the time coming into the clinic you have been given ibuprofen or Tylenol. Please remember they're both toxic to dogs and do not give them to your dog I always remind all my puppy owners! Spread the word it could save a dog's life
AKC Therapy Dog Title
The AKC is offering the AKC Therapy Dog title. I am proud to say that TDInc. will be one of the 5 therapy dog organizations they will recognize for the dogs registration. You can get all the needed info on applying, and the forms needed to keep track of your visits at the AKC site http://www.akc.org/akctherapydog/
You will need to have made 50 visits before you can gain this title. There are also fees of course.
So feel free to spread the word!
